From around Rhino 7.2 to 7.4, the software introduced a more robust validation mechanism that can detect when a proxy or security tool is interfering with its ability to phone home. If Rhino detects that its validation servers are blocked or that its core files have been altered, it will trigger the "Your license is not valid" error and prevent the software from launching.

A recent Windows update or antivirus scan has deleted or restored the modified crack files, leaving Rhino in a semi-broken state.
