Warning!

We strongly encourage you to use from now xmake (a python script designed for Torch) instead of the GNU make software for compiling Torch.

Note that the sources for Unix/Linux and MS Windows are the same... only the packaging method is different.
If for some reasons you want the previous version of Torch, it is still available here.

Short description of packages

Wifite For Windows -

In the world of network security, the name commands respect. It is a powerful, Python-based automation tool designed to audit wireless networks by executing a series of established attacks (Pixie Dust, WPS PIN, WPA handshake capture, and PMKID) without requiring the user to manually type complex command strings.

The VM bypasses Windows drivers entirely and gives Linux direct hardware access.

Only if you boot via a Live USB (Method 1) and your internal card happens to use a Linux-compatible chipset (common with Intel Wi-Fi cards). It will not work inside a virtual machine. wifite for windows

Install a Linux distribution (like Ubuntu or Kali) from the Microsoft Store.

The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL2) can run Wifite, but it is the most difficult to set up. WSL2 does not natively "see" Wi-Fi hardware. In the world of network security, the name commands respect

It sends deauth packets to force users off the network, allowing Wifite to capture the WPA handshake.

Bind your USB Wi-Fi adapter (replace BUSID with your actual device ID): powershell usbipd bind --busid Use code with caution. Attach the device to your running WSL 2 Kali instance: powershell usbipd attach --wsl --busid Use code with caution. Step 4: Run Wifite Only if you boot via a Live USB

🛠️ The Core Challenge: Why Wifite Isn't Native to Windows

| Feature | Works? | Notes | |--------|--------|-------| | Scanning | ✅ Yes | With proper USB adapter | | WPA handshake capture | ✅ Yes | Works via aircrack-ng | | WPS PIN attacks | ⚠️ Unreliable | Timing issues over USB | | Deauthentication attacks | ✅ Yes | Requires monitor mode | | Native Windows support | ❌ No | Wifite will never run in CMD/PowerShell |

(Powerful dual-band, requires manual driver installation on some systems) Frequently Asked Questions Is using Wifite legal?
