Upgrading your Ktag clone firmware and software from version 2.25 to 2.70 unlocks newer vehicle protocols, stabilizes communication, and fixes bugs found in older releases. However, because clone hardware lacks official server access, executing this update requires specific steps to avoid locking or bricking your device.
This guide is for educational purposes. Updating clone hardware violates the original manufacturer’s terms. Use at your own risk.
However, this is a dangerous minefield. Unlike official Ktag units, clones require a specific dance of bootloader updates, firmware flashing, and software patching. One wrong move, and you brick a $200 tool.

Locate the small micro SD card slotted into the board and gently remove it.

Keep your Ktag hardware disconnected from the computer's USB port until instructed otherwise. Step 2: Uninstall the Old KSuite Version
Copy the entire extracted KSuite_2.70 folder and paste it directly into the root directory of your local disk ( C:\KSuite_2.70 ).
